No Job for a Woman by Sallyanne Atkinson
This book takes us from her wartime childhood in Sri Lanka, to visits to the Boulia area, to her first jobs as a journalist and TV personality. Driven to make a difference in her community, she entered local politics and went on to become the first female Lord Mayor of Brisbane.
Sallyanne is currently on the board of directors of the Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton.
