Tom Petrie's Reminiscences of Early Queensland by Constance Campbell Petrie
Originally published in 1904, this book provides a brief sketch of Queensland from 1837, as well as a close up view of Aboriginal life - Tom was known as an expert and spent quite a deal of time with the first inhabitants.
It also has a 1939 Brisbane town plan and some Aboriginal vocabulary - including many place names familiar to us, such as Tingalpa, Nambour and Yurong-pilly.
