Why should people and pets have all the fun travelling our great home, Australia?

Here is a fun activity. How far can an Aussie book travel in 15 reads? This is how it works.

At the Outback Writers Festival being held at the Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton, Outback Queensland from the 20th to the 22nd of June 2023, (see www.outbackwritersfestival.com.au) several books will be given to festival participants. They will be invited to read the book, and then give it to someone else to read. Preferable the next reader to be as far away as possible. There is no need to post the book - just hand it on (or perhaps put in a parcel already ready to send). When it gets to Reader number 15, that reader is invited to post the book home to Winton, and we will refund the postage. We will record the travels on this website, after adding up all the distances eg Winton to Bowen, then Bowen to Perth and so on.
